This year the Holiday Luncheon will take place on December 1 from 11:30am -2:00pm.

Lunch will be ‘Pot-Luck’ style and we will have our usual Gift Exchange Game. This year the theme is:

From peeling potatoes to pureeing parsnips, these lovely Felted Thanksgiving Oven Mitts add to the pleasure of preparing the big feast!

Materials:

  • Each Oven Mitt requires about 190 yards, or 2 skeins. For Oven Mitts like these you’ll need 2 skeins of each of the main colors and 1 skein of each of the contrast colors
  • A US #11, 16 inch circular needle
  • A set of US #11 double pointed needles

‘Adinkra: Transforming Tradition’ Exhibition

The Arts gallery at Collin College’s Spring Creek Campus (SCC) is scheduled to present the “Adinkra: Transforming Tradition” exhibition.

The exhibition will feature textiles created primarily by Gabriel Kwaku Boakye, a member of the internationally acclaimed family of adinkra printers in Ntonso, Ghana, West Africa.
