On October 8 at the Plano Sewing Center, the Material Girls Neighborhood Group project is to make Yin Yang purses. Laurel Iakovakis is leading us step by step through the construction of the bag. Attached are the supplies you will need for the project. If you have access to a pattern, go ahead and cut out your pattern. If not, we will share patterns at the meeting. Bring your machine and supplies ready for a fun morning. (Beginning at 10 a.m.)

Supplies for Yin-Yang Scrap-bag workshop
Tools:
- Sewing machine
- Matching or contrasting thread
- ¼ inch presser foot
- Darning foot
- Turning tool or chop stick
- Scissors
- Pins
Fabric:
- 7/8 yard main fabric
- 2/3 yard complimentary fabric
- 12” of 96” wide batting
If you already have cut out your pieces, great! See you at 10 a.m. to start sewing. If you
still need to cut out your pieces, please come early. I’ll be there to help you get started.
