SUMMER HOMEGROWN WORKSHOPSFriday, August 21 – * NOTE THE CHANGE IN DATE* – Bag Making Basics – taught by Cathey Jordan – $20 members/$50 nonmembers, plus supplies Saturday, September 26 – Umbrella Making Workshop – taught by Tammy Moberg and Roxanne Carder – $20 members/ $50 nonmembers, plus kit fee  **A Happy Place Sewin**Our quilting workshop has been extended. We didn’t quite get finished with our project. Therefore, we are meeting one more day. YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN OUR SEWIN, no matter what your sewing project involves. Saturday, July 18, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. (or whenever you want to quit) We are sewing together at MY HAPPY PLACE CREATIVE LOUNGE, located inside Hoops & Needles, 3100 Independence Pkwy, Suite 205 Plano, TX 75075 The price is $20 +tax for the day of sewing. ART MEETS FASHION 2026 in McKinney – Checkout ***Please let me know if you are going to the fashion show but not modeling. We need a volunteer to sit at the Plano ASG table to advertise our wonderful chapter!***  The Special Events team has turned their attention to prepare for the annual meeting in October. Remember this year we will once again host the Plano ASG member fashion show at the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts in McKinney. So think about what you would like to make ( clothing or accessory), then come to Wear and Walk It! After the Walk we will join our fellow sewist for a luncheon .
