We hope you will be as excited about participating in the 2022 annual meeting as we have been planning it. Fabulous prizes, a fashion show of our own creations, and a stunning location in a beautiful old house, but I get ahead of myself.
This year’s annual event will begin in the Carriage House at the Heard-Craig Arts Center in historic downtown McKinney.
When you arrive find your name tag, pick up a Mimosa or Iced Tea and find a seat or your place on the program for our members-only fashion show. I hope that you have signed up to model your latest creation by now. Everything shown must be member-made but not necessarily member-modeled, so if you want to show something you made for a friend or relative don’t hesitate to bring them to model it for you. There is a large room above the meeting space where you can change if you need to do that. We will start with a very short business meeting and announcement of the election of officers.
Following the Fashion Show it is a very short walk through the flower garden to the grand home where our lunch will be served. As you may know, our Willowbend Farmers’ Market sales have been quite profitable, so over lunch we will be giving away several fabulous prizes!
Names will be drawn randomly and the winners will choose a prize in the order in which they are drawn.
Double Winner, two $75 gift Cards for Illuminations Fabrics, the new brick and mortar/online fashion fabric store in Ft. Worth. But THERE ARE STRINGS ATTACHED. The winner will get to keep one card and she must pick someone in the room to receive the second card so that they can shop together.
$75 Gift Card for the McKinney Knittery, the store in Historic Downtown McKinney on W. Louisiana St. that sells gorgeous yarn for all sorts of needle crafting, fabric for sewing and quilting and offers all kinds of fascinating classes.
$75 Gift Card from Amazon. What can I say? Just think of the possibilities!
Chi Iron, the new brand of iron that is getting rave reviews.
Kai serrated blade shears, the ones that cut straight on those wiggly fabrics that slide around under smooth blades.
