Sewing Classes

Plano Chapter of American Sewing Guild sewing class options:

Classes for youth:  We offer a once per month hands on sewing project.

Class for youth 6 – 8 is called Tiny Tag.  It is generally on the 3rd Saturday of the month in McKinney.  Registration is required.  This link will take you to the registration page.

Class for youth 8 and up is called TAG (Teach a New Generation).  It is on the 2nd Saturday of the month at Plano Sewing Center.  Registration is required.  This link will take you to the registration page.

Classes for Adults and youth 10 and over: 

Techniques on Saturday:  A hands on sharpen your sewing skill set class taught on the 4th Saturday of each month at Christ United Methodist Church, SW Corner of Coit & Parker, Room N154. The class and kit is free but you must PRE-REGISTER by the Weds before the class by emailing 

We offer a 6 class session on sewing basics called “sewing boot camp”.  We offer this offer this at private homes in McKinney and North Dallas.  Currently we are taking names of those interested.  Please email Markita at if you are interested in the sewing boot camp.   The next boot camp is scheduled in McKinney, it will be Weds. nights from 6 to 9 PM.  Starts April 5th    Must PRE-REGISTER by April 2nd by emailing  Cost is $60 which includes a year’s membership in the guild.

    1. We don’t have any classes like that right now. We would welcome you to visit any of our online meetings. We meet for a short check in every Saturday morning and we always share ideas and help when anyone has a project they are working one. Email Sheryl at if yo would like the meeting link.
