Summer Sewing Camp

Summer Camp for Plano ASG Junior Students (ages 8 (or if you turn 8 this summer) – 17) .   The Plano guild is offering a TAG sewing camp the week of July 6-10.   There will not be a regular TAG meeting on Saturday July 11th.

Location is Plano Sewing Center, corner of Spring Creek and Custer – we appreciate the use of their space!

Cost will be $15 per session for non ASG members.

Cost for junior ASG members will be $5 kit fee per session.

Register  using the below form.  REGISTRATION IS CLOSED – We will do more teen camps in the future!

  • Please indicate a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd choice.
  •  Sessions will be limited registration
  • Loaner machines based on availability.
  • Please note the prerequisite for the Thursday and Friday sessions.

Monday & Tuesday.  Basic sewing machine operation.  After this class you will be considered an advanced TAG student, with your instructors approval.

Please sign up for only one session (they are identical) 2 sessions each day.  2 hours

10 am to 12 noon — morning session

1 – 3 pm  — afternoon session

Please bring:

  • Sewing machine with all of the feet
  • The power cord
  • The foot control
  •  3 empty bobbins
  • Any sewing notions that you may have like pins, scissors, thread, sewing machine needles.
  • The instruction manual for your machine.

If you do not have a sewing machine, there will be a limited number of machines  available for each session.

Wednesday – no sessions

Thursday & Friday sessions will be 2.5 hours. (prerequisite is either attending one of the Monday or Tuesday classes or already be an advanced TAG student.

Thursday AM  9:30 am -12 noon — Drawstring bag

Thursday  PM 1 – 3:30 pm — Elastic waist skirt from fabric. (parents please indicate desired skirt length)

Friday   AM   9:30 am – 12 noon — Skirt from a T-shirt or button front shirt.  ( Please bring your own shirt )

Friday PM 1 – 3:30 pm — Pillowcase.

As time permits additional items will be made and donated as a service project, completing addition projects reinforces sewing skills taught in the class.

Please bring:
