What’s better than one Sew Along? Two Sew Alongs!
Plano ASG is calling all quilters and garment sewers alike to participate in a Sew Along beginning Friday, February 7th. Over the six week event, participants have the option to quilt a table runner or table topper. Or if fashion is your passion you may elect to sew Vogue 8897.
Quilting participants will be led by Maggie Tinnin, while garment sewers will be led by Louise Schubert.
Table Runner or Table Topper
The table topper is 37” x 37” and the runner is 17” x 62”.
You’ll need 5 different fabrics and batting to make the topper or runner. Here are the fabric requirements:
MISSES’ DRESS: Loose-fitting, pullover dress has mock front band and side pockets. Model A (left): purchased bias tape to finish neckline and armholes. Model B (right): collar, sleeve and lower bands, and purchased trim.
This is a Very Easy Misses pattern. For fabric, notions and yardage requirements, please see here.
The pattern will be on sale for $4.99 at JoAnn’s Friday, Jan 31 & Saturday, Feb 1. The pattern is currently not on sale at Hancock’s.
Maggie and Louise will both be posting step-by-step instructions along with pictures. Work at your own pace, the blog posts will be there to provide all the support you need. If you get stuck, have questions, experience success or failure post them to our Plano ASG Facebook page.
Here’s an outline of the topic we’ll cover each week. New blog posts will be posted on the dates shown:
