Every year, the Plano Chapter of ASG provides an opportunity for its members to be in the limelight. The annual Fashion Show invites every member to participate by showing us those special works that have come to life in your sewing room. Garments, accessories, home décor…come and show them off on the RUNWAY! Sewing for your family and friends? Bring them along…the more, the merrier! After all, we don’t want ASG to be the best kept secret in town, do we? Our own Jami Roux will be our Mistress of Ceremonies for this gala event.
The best news: it’s free! Yes, you read that correctly. You have NO excuse now.
Plano Chapter members are asked to bring either a dessert or a salad. To make this a simple process, if your last name begins with A-J bring a salad, and K-Z bring a dessert. Please, nothing that must be heated. Drinks and tableware will be provided.
Love a great contest that ANYONE can win? Make a garment from one of the designated ASG Simplicity patterns for the ASG National Anyone Can Win contest, model it in the Fashion Show, and we will photograph your garment and even submit your entry in the contest. Contest details are on our website – http://www.planoasgsews.org/asg-contest-2014. Nothing more to do…just let us submit your picture and you could win one of several AMAZING prizes. Check it out…what could be easier!

Such an event requires a lot of planning and coordination. Be watching for an eVite in your email inbox in the next week. And if you plan to participate in the fashion show, it is important that you send the following information to Louise Schubert
Item type:dress, jacket, pants, quilt, handbag, etc.
Pattern Company / pattern number/name:
What inspired you to make the item?
What fabrics did you use, and why?
How did you make it your own?
NOTE: An entire outfit is NOT required in order to be in the fashion show. Show any item you made, with whatever it takes to make it look spectacular on the runway! (As Tim Gunn would say: Use the accessory wall very thoughtfully!) Just come and take your bows!
